Our Story

MRK DRIVE is a small, locally owned tour company based in Brașov, in the heart of Transylvania. We started with a simple idea: visitors should be able to see the best of this region comfortably, safely and at their own pace, with a relaxed, well-organised schedule and a driver who knows the roads. We pick you up from your hotel or apartment in the Brașov area, drive you to the places you came to see, and bring you back at the end of the day. Our day trips cover Transylvania's highlights: Bran Castle, Peleș Castle, the Libearty Bear Sanctuary in Zărnești, the medieval citadel of Sighișoara, Sibiu, Corvin Castle, the Transfăgărășan road and Bâlea Lake, Saint Ana Lake, the Red Lake and many hidden villages and fortified churches along the way. We offer both private tours and small-group tours. On a private tour, the day is yours: you decide how long to stay at each stop, when to break for lunch or coffee, and whether to add a detour you spot on the road. On a group tour, you share the trip with other travellers at a lower price, following a well-planned route with enough time at every stop. Either way, we share practical local tips along the way and make sure the logistics, from parking to entrance tickets, run smoothly. If you do not see exactly what you are looking for, we are happy to build a tour around you. Tell us what interests you most, whether that is castles, wildlife, mountain scenery, medieval towns, traditional villages or food and wine, and we will plan a route that fits your time and budget. We can combine several destinations in one day, arrange multi-day trips across Transylvania, organise airport and city transfers, and adapt the schedule for families with children, older travellers or anyone who prefers a slower pace.
